How to use Erisai.
Thirteen guides, each under 10 minutes. Start at the top or jump to what you need.
Getting started
01
Sign in and add your first account
Open Erisai and sign in with Google — your data syncs across every device you sign in on automatically. Or tap "Try the demo" to explore without an account.
1
Tap Sign in with Google on the sign-in screen.2
Go to the Accounts tab → tap the + button.3
Name it (e.g. "BCA Tabungan"), pick an emoji, choose IDR as currency, enter your current balance.4
Tap Save. Your net worth is now tracking.Tip: Add every place money lives — savings, GoPay, credit cards (as liabilities), investments. The more complete, the more useful the net worth figure.

Core habit
02
Log your first transaction
The green button in the center of the tab bar opens the add transaction screen from any tab. It's always one tap away.
1
Tap the green center button in the tab bar.2
Type the amount on the numpad. Use the 000 key for round amounts.3
Pick a category (Food, Transport, etc.) and an account.4
Tap Save. It appears on your calendar immediately.Tip: Add a short note in the memo field. "Mie Ayam Bu Wati" is more useful than just "Food" when you review the month later.
1 min
Budgets
03
Set a monthly budget that actually works
Budgets live in the Budget tab. Each one is a monthly limit for a category. The bar goes amber at 80% and red at 100%.
1
Go to the Budget tab → tap +.2
Pick a category and set a monthly limit (e.g. Food & Drink → Rp3.000.000).3
Tap Save. The bar fills as you log transactions in that category.Tip: Start with just 3 categories — your biggest spending areas. Adding too many budgets makes it hard to track. Refine over a month or two.
3 min
Net worth
04
Get your real net worth in 10 minutes
Net worth = total assets − total liabilities. Erisai calculates this automatically once you've added your accounts.
1
Add all asset accounts with current balances (savings, investments, e-wallets, cash).2
Add liability accounts — credit cards, KPR balance — Erisai marks these as negative automatically.3
For USD/SGD investments, pick the right currency — Erisai converts to IDR using live exchange rates.4
Check the Accounts tab header — that's your net worth.10 min
Recurring
05
Schedule bills so nothing slips through
Recurring transactions appear on your calendar automatically. Variable bills (like PLN token) use manual tick-off so you check them off when you actually pay.
1
Open the Tools tab → tap Recurring → tap +.2
Enter the name, amount, category, account, and frequency (monthly, weekly, daily).3
For variable amounts (PLN, water): enable Manual transfer — a tick box appears each period.4
Set an end date if applicable (e.g. 12 months for a cicilan).Tip: The three bills most people forget — PLN token (day 1), BPJS Kesehatan (day 10), and Indihome (day 1). Add all three first.
5 min
Reports
06
Read your spending report
The Reports tab shows where your money actually went. Donut chart by category, monthly averages, and account-level filtering.
1
Tap the Reports tab.2
Toggle between Expense and Income at the top.3
Swipe the month pills to compare previous months.4
Tap the export icon to download a CSV for the selected month.2 min
Sync
07
Turn on an optional Google Drive backup
Signing in already keeps your data synced across every device through your Erisai account — you don't need to set anything up for that. Google Drive backup is an extra copy, in your own Drive, that you control.
1
Go to Settings → Backup & Sync.2
Tap Connect Google Drive and authorise Erisai.3
Choose your backup frequency — "Every save" is recommended if you want the extra copy always current.4
The green dot in the home header confirms sync is active.Tip: If you go offline, Erisai logs locally. When you reconnect, the merge is automatic — no conflicts, no duplicates.
3 min
Import
08
Migrate from a Money Manager backup or spreadsheet
Import a Money Manager (.mmbak) backup directly, or a spreadsheet using Erisai's own Date / Amount / Account columns — either way, headers are matched automatically and nothing leaves your device during the import.
1
In your old app, export a Money Manager .mmbak backup, or a .csv/.xlsx with Date, Amount, and Account columns.2
Go to Settings → Import in Erisai.3
Upload the file. Erisai detects which kind it is and picks the right reader automatically.4
Review the preview, then tap Import. An undo is available immediately after.5 min
Privacy
09
Hide amounts when others are around
Privacy mode masks all amounts with "Rp •••••" across every screen. It's a device-level preference — it doesn't sync, so your other devices aren't affected.
1
Tap the eye icon in the home screen header.2
All amounts across every tab are masked instantly.3
Tap the eye again to unmask. The preference saves per device.30 seconds
Language
10
Switch between English and Bahasa Indonesia
Erisai is fully translated into both languages. All UI labels, empty states, and button copy change when you switch.
1
Go to Settings.2
Under Preferences, tap Language.3
Select EN or ID. The app updates immediately.30 seconds
Split Bill
11
Split a bill with friends
Split Bill is open to every user. Snap a photo of the receipt and Erisai reads it for you — this uses an AI service to read the photo, so it needs a connection; without one, it reads the receipt on your device instead. Either way, the photo is never kept. You can also type the items in by hand.
1
Open the Tools tab → tap Split Bill.2
Take or upload a photo of the receipt, or enter the items by hand. Add service, tax, discount or rounding if the receipt has them — Erisai applies service first, then tax, the same order as the receipt.3
Add the people splitting the bill, then tap each item and use the picker in the bottom bar to claim who had what.4
Review each person's share — always a whole rupiah amount — then share it as an image, a PDF, or copy-ready WhatsApp text. Each PDF carries your real name, and one PDF is generated per person. If a friend paid and is owed back, add their bank or e-wallet account and it appears on the export instead of yours. You can also save your own share straight into one of your pockets.5
Every bill you finish is kept under "Recent bills" for 3 months, synced across your devices. Tap one to reopen it, tick off "Paid" per person as they settle up, or delete it early if you want.Tip: No connection? Split Bill still works — it just reads the receipt on your phone instead of sending the photo anywhere.

Investing
12
Build your own stock screener
The Stock Screener shows public market data through your own filters — it never tells you what to buy or sell. A short quiz first reads your Investing Character, then you can shape the list to match how you think about risk.
1
Open the Tools tab → tap Stock Screener and answer the short Investing Character quiz.2
Build your own filters — valuation, quality checks, sector, and more — and save the sets you use often so you don't rebuild them each time.3
Read the colour, not a recommendation: green (below value) through blue, yellow, red, to black (possible trap) — a neutral scale, never a buy or sell instruction.4
Tap any stock for the full detail sheet — the same data, just laid out one at a time.Remember: This is a screener, not financial advice. Past performance never guarantees future results.

Planning
13
Try the Financial Freedom planner
Financial Freedom is an educational simulation based on historical data — it estimates how much you'd need saved for your savings to cover your living costs. It's not investment advice, not a product recommendation, and not a guarantee of any future result.
1
Open the Tools tab → tap Financial Freedom.2
Erisai estimates your number from your logged income and spending.3
Open "Try your own numbers" and drag the sliders — monthly income goal, stop age, yearly growth, and monthly saving — to see how each one moves your answer.4
Tap "Use this" on any answer to see the earliest age, the growth rate, or the monthly saving that would get you there.Remember: This is an educational simulation, not investment advice.
